Paneer Tikka

  • 520gms Paneer pieces
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Melted butter for basting (around 3-4 tbsps)
  • Lemon juice or chaat masala for garnish
  • Mint chutney to serve
  • For the marinade
  • garlic cloves paste
  • ½" ginger paste
  • ½ tsp mild chilli powder (mild paprika would be great or kashmiri chilli powder)
  • ¼ tsp coarsely ground white pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander finely chopped
  • tbsp thick curd
  • Salt to taste

Take Paneer pieces and apply salt, red pepper, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste ,thick curd, white pepper powder and let it marinate for 6-8 hrs (the more the better). On a thin skewer, gently put the Paneer peices and cook in a hot tandoor/oven for 10 - 15 mins, apply butter on both sides with help of spoon or brush while turning it on tandoor once.
